Our mission is to empower data teams to bring mission-critical analytics, AI, and software to life. • As a Resident Solutions Architect (Infrastructure) you will join our field team to deliver world-class technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems. • The impacts you will make will enable customers to rapidly grow their businesses by adopting Astronomer products to meet their goals. • Implement Astronomer’s software and services in the core of some of the world’s largest businesses and organizations. • Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys. • Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers.

Requirements

• Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred) • Expertise in at least one programming language. • Good understanding of network complexities and architectures • Versatile Terminal and CLI user, this will be a hands-on role, frequently without access to a GUI • Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems • Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale • Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling • Ability to read code • Work effectively with git • Cloud-native data architecture experience • Strong customer facing skills • Strong oral and written communications skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly • Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect • Proficiency in Python/Go. • Enterprise data experience with or in regulated environments • Experience with scripting/automation specifically infra (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, etc.) • 5+ years experience in a data engineering role or equivalent • 3+ years in a customer-facing role • Experience with ElasticSearch/Prometheus/Vault
