📋 Description
• Lead Avantor’s responsible sourcing strategy • Build relationships with key vendors • Coordinate contract specifications with internal sourcing partners • Implement policies and metrics to ensure goals are realized • Promote innovations around sustainable procurement • Lead supplier performance management • Assess Avantor’s environmental and social impact across the value chain • Define key performance metrics (KPIs) and overarching performance management structures • Communicate new supplier partner sustainability approach to relevant stakeholders • Carry out assessments to identify reduction and offsetting levers and opportunities • Oversee program governance to deliver the company’s sustainability goals and targets • Coach and educate the Sourcing team on Sustainability topics
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economics or related field • CIPS qualification (desired) • Ability to influence and lead across peers, senior management, and external partners. • 10 + years of relevant direct sourcing & supplier management experience • Engage with, support, and educate suppliers throughout the supply chain to meet program requirements • Manage program policies, contract language, and required reporting metrics • Deep understanding of supply chain transparency industry trends, best practices, and reporting platforms • Strong business acumen
