Description

β€’ Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Director, Field Access to oversee engagement strategies with healthcare providers. β€’ This field-based role will oversee multiple time zones with both virtual and in-person leadership oversight, β€’ Work cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies for effective access pull-through support across all regions. β€’ Provide senior-level insights on national/regional payer policies, aiding the team in navigating payer issues. β€’ High level vendor management and oversight for key vendor partners on access support. β€’ Analyze trends in payer behavior and strategize accordingly with internal teams. β€’ Build, lead, and coach a team of Field Access Managers in their engagement with healthcare providers. β€’ Build and maintain high-level relationships with key accounts and stakeholders. β€’ Stay ahead of significant market access, reimbursement, and policy developments. β€’ Ensure the team is informed about changes in healthcare laws and reimbursement methodologies. β€’ Partner with training and development team to build a managed access and patient services curriculum.

Requirements

β€’ 10+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership roles within Market Access, Payor Account Management, and/or Access Reimbursement β€’ Comprehensive knowledge of payer policy, coverage and payment processes β€’ Strong knowledge of compliance guidelines and principles related to Field Reimbursement teams and both their external and internal interactions β€’ Demonstrated excellence in leadership and strategic roles β€’ Ability to oversee a national team and key customer base, requiring travel throughout the United States when needed (30-50% travel), and use of technologies to successfully engage virtually
