β€’ Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans β€’ Generate and qualify leads for subsequent development β€’ Perform key account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities β€’ Develop technical specifications that support product position and facilitate operational efficiency β€’ Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce, our CRM system β€’ Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products offered by UGS β€’ Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations to meet customer needs β€’ Recommend proposal and contract prices β€’ Develop bid strategy, create bid estimates, and close orders β€’ Provide input into development of marketing communications and product portfolio decisions β€’ Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

β€’ Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred β€’ 3 years of experience in technical sales within the water industry, Consulting Engineer in the municipal water market, or Technical Direct Sales β€’ Experienced with Salesforce, or other CRM, and expertise with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook β€’ Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade, motivate and empower clients and co-workers to action β€’ Ability to deal with individuals at all levels of an organization β€’ Must be a strong communicator able to take initiative and be disciplined to function independently β€’ Must be competitive, goal-oriented, self-motivated, good listener and manage time wisely β€’ Must be able to process complex information and unique client needs quickly β€’ Must be able to travel to client and vendor sites more than 50% of the time.
