📋 Description

• The Business Analyst will work with IT Staff and Business Users from all levels of the organization to analyze business processes, to gather and document project requirements, uncover gaps and recommend appropriate business or technical solutions. • Develop comprehensive test plans and complete functional testing of new programs or enhancements. • Ideal candidate has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves corporate processes. • Learn various software platforms and gain a deep understanding of the underlying functionality; Stay up-to-date on the latest processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems. • Identify the current- and future-state business processes and life insurance products offered. • Identify ways to improve the usability and efficiency of the applications and make suggestions for improvement. • Gather critical information from meetings with stakeholders; Ensure that the company’s business needs are met by evaluating the business need with the requirements gathered. • Gather and document user requirements for business processes. • Participate in meetings and presentations to effectively communicate findings to cross functional team members and management. • Identify and escalate risks as appropriate. • Develop comprehensive E2E test cases at the application and multi-application levels and complete comprehensive functional testing to ensure quality deliverables. • Create or update procedures for new programs or enhancements. • Facilitate user acceptance testing and business unit sign-off. • Determine needs and coordinate training when new programs or releases are promoted to production. • Manage competing resources and priorities and provide off hours support for issues and project implementations. • Provide off hours support for issues and project implementations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent related experience • LOMA courses desired • 2+ years previous experience in business analysis or quality assurance testing • 2+ years previous experience in the life insurance industry in any area or areas which would provide an overall knowledge of Life Insurance Operations and Administration systems • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills • Experience with business, functional and non-functional requirements • Experience in user testing and requirements gathering and documentation • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office is required. • Strong project management skills • SharePoint experience a plus • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately • Practical application ability with Microsoft Visio preferred • Experience with JIRA a plus
