Description

• Lead the Business Intelligence function for all of Begin, coaching and enabling a team of data analysts to produce data products that inform Begin, Little Passports, HOMER and codeSpark brands. • Develop a deep understanding of Begin’s business needs, data architecture, and data literacy to build data products that enable the business to make decisions quickly and confidently. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company, such as Marketing, Learning, Product Management to understand and solution data needs, balancing the short and long term. • Roll up your sleeves and create your own analyses, including leading ad hoc investigations when performance or other issues arrive, coordinating multiple functions to find the solution. • Lead and iterate on the process for how work gets done, actively prioritizing the analyst team’s work to balance short and long term business needs. • Partner closely with Data engineering to build an architecture and process that supports the present and future of the business, acting as a crucial link between stakeholders and the DE team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of business intelligence experience, including hands-on experience using statistical techniques to translate complex data sets into simple business recommendations. • 3+ years experience leading and developing teams of analysts. • Best-in-class analytical rigor and a passion for using data to find opportunities and insights others can’t see. • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in highly-complex data environments. • Strong experience with SQL and data viz tools, with the ability to write efficient queries on large data sets. • Highly adaptable, strategic mindset, with an entrepreneurial attitude.
