Description

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs • Create both straightforward and intricate database views • Conception and implementation of data pipelines through the development of new applications leveraging Python • Use SQL to interact with data while also using Python to write application logic to automate data solutions • Write automated unit tests to ensure application requirements adherence • Identify and resolve issues through meticulous debugging of data pipelines spanning multiple layers of technology including Docker, GitHub Actions, Python, SQL, dbt, and various AWS services • Develop internal tools aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the data team’s processes using Python or Go.

Requirements

• Strong programming fundamentals • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless) • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience. • Experience with relational databases and SQL • Experience with Git • Experience building unit tests • Experience with Docker and Unix environments • Experience owning responsibility for production processes • Excellent documentation and general organization of ongoing tasks, including the ability to evaluate and question business rules. • You practice empathy and kindness, and you look to help others.
