Description

• It’s not very often that a new asset class is born. But that’s exactly what we’re witnessing today with the rise of crypto. • Bitwise Asset Management is the largest crypto index fund manager in America. • Bitwise has established a track record of excellence managing a broad suite of index and active solutions across ETFs, separately managed accounts, private funds, and hedge fund strategies. • We are looking for an accounting leader to join our team and take on important responsibilities to help Bitwise scale. • You will oversee daily accounting operations, manage audits, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • You will be responsible for improving the efficiency of the financial close process and ensuring tax compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting • Certified Public Accountant(CPA) certification or equivalent. • Big 4 accounting or large regional firm experience • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience in asset management or financial services industries, ideally with a focus on audit management, technical accounting/GAAP compliance, global consolidations, and financial reporting. • Proven track record in managing audits and improving financial close processes. • Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to communicate accounting issues to both finance and non-finance personnel • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent). • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. • High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills. • Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed, quick decisions
