• The Creative Director at Caraway will play a pivotal role in shaping and bringing to life our brand creative to be utilized across all key channels and touchpoints. • This role requires a combination of artistic talent, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to inspire and guide a team of creative professionals. • Reporting to the VP, Brand & Creative, you will be an experienced creative leader responsible for upholding & elevating Caraway’s visual & verbal identities. • The Creative Director will lead the conceptualization and ultimate development of key pieces of creative that will power marketing campaigns & product launches. • This role will inspire, generate, and develop ideas that are strategically-informed and deeply integrated between all brand touchpoints, including creative content production (photos/stills, motion/video, CGI, etc.), print (packaging, mailers, OOH), digital (paid & organic social media, email marketing), and experiential (retail displays, in-store signage, events). • As our Creative Director, you will manage a team of 5 direct reports and 3 indirect reports.
• 10+ years of creative/art direction, design, content production, or related creative experience • 5+ years of experience managing marketing teams • Experience within the consumer goods industry or a consumer-facing brand required • Strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead through influence across diverse teams • Passion for brand storytelling and creativity with creative that resonates with target audiences • Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once • Deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends in home, lifestyle, and non-toxic products • Resourceful, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Interest in home goods, design, and sustainability, aligning with Caraway’s brand mission • Expert in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, AfterEffects, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere) & like minded design programs (Figma, Miro) • Comfortable developing and presenting to large groups, including executive management, either in person or over Google Meet • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively build consensus across teams • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Communications, or related field highly desired
