Description

• We are seeking a competent and professional Security Specialist to provide security coverage, analysis and response for Church properties and facilities, employees, Church leaders, visitors, and guests in the Area. The successful candidate will support the mission of the Church and promote a safe and peaceful environment in which Church members and visitors can worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field • 5+ years of security-related work experience or management level experience in a similar discipline (e.g. security, intelligence, risk management, government relations, criminology or similar). • A proven ability to act with minimal oversight on routine matters and with some oversight on critical matters. • High-level mastery of written and spoken English is required; fluency in at least one other European language highly desired. • Consistently demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to represent the truth clearly and accurately. • Knowledge of regulations, policies and processes in one or more of the following fields: security, intelligence, risk management, government relations, cultural and situational awareness or similar. • Ability to focus on and effectively manage day-to-day operations. • High-level of organizational skills, able to respond to the needs of the Area at all times and complete assignments with limited instructions and supervision. • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate sense of urgency to promptly resolve priority issues. • Ability to create processes and strategies with little input. • Demonstrate consistently good judgment in providing innovative and creative solutions to complex issues, influenced by culture, language, etc. • Experience and ability to deal kindly but effectively with potentially disruptive and/or aggressive individuals in the work setting as well as in Church gatherings. • Capable of leveraging technical, human, procedural resources to adapt to changing circumstances • Must be physically and mentally fit to attend to security work
