• The BAS Controls Engineer for the ALC West region coordinates with Mechanical/Electrical engineers as well as Architects and project customers to provide a complete and user-friendly Automated Logic DDC system. • The controls engineer shall also have to be able to visit jobsites, attend design meetings (on-site & virtual) and do job walks with our salesperson(s), project managers and/or field engineers as needed to give expertise guidance on potential or current projects. • Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms. • Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation. • Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information. • Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions. • Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems. • Test programming and interfaces prior to implantation. • Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met. • Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks. Support of functional testing for building systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 7+ years of HVAC Controls industry experience • Working knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred • Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services • Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc • Experience with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software. • Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems. • Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs
