Description
• Lead discretionary land use and natural resources permitting for utility-scale solar projects • Oversee natural resources surveys, land use applications, and technical reports • Engage with regulatory authorities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, land use planning, ecology, geography, or other relevant field; master’s degree preferred • Minimum of seven (7) years managing compliance and permitting issues; preference for energy/utilities industry • Utility-scale solar development experience preferred • Demonstrated experience in California • Understanding of CEQA • Experience obtaining discretionary land use permits • Experience securing federal approvals/consultations • Understanding of environmental mitigation requirements • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Experience working with diverse teams and disciplines
