Description

• Senior User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer needed for an outdated web portal • Capable of working in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborating with a multi-functional team • Responsible for creating products that meet the objectives of users and the public

Requirements

• 7 years of professional experience in UX research, wireframes, prototypes and workflows, along with a portfolio website URL demonstrating these skills (resume will not be reviewed unless a portfolio is attached or linked) • 3 years’ experience working with the federal government and/or government consulting • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite • Strong conceptual thinker with knowledge of visual storytelling, typography, iconography, color theory, proportion and layout • In-depth knowledge of User Experience and User Interface Design principles and processes, Human Factors, Interaction Design guidelines, industry standards and trends, and the software development process; especially in the online (web) and mobile environment (tablet and phone). • Experience with user research, research activities such as user interviews, user surveys, fly-on-the-walls, service design and personas a plus • A Bias for Action. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study.
