📋 Description
• Provide diabetes education support to patients to improve adherence and health outcomes • Quickly establish rapport via phone with a diverse patient population • Produce behavior change among patients using motivational interviewing techniques • Present online webinars • Consistently meet call metrics while meeting quality requirements • Other duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• Must have a current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) • Must be fluent in Spanish • Proven experience utilizing motivational interviewing to provide positive behavior change • Demonstrated ability to receive constructive feedback and incorporate it into patient calls • Must have a home office for private patient conversation along with high-speed internet • Able to work independently and manage time efficiently • Must be comfortable utilizing advanced technology (Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Office, scripting applications, device data, etc.) • Demonstrated ability to recognize patient needs and adapt communication techniques for a diverse patient population • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
