πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Lead all aspects of the Homeowner Defense Team in preserving homeownership through defensive litigation, servicing claims, and other actions to preserve homeownership β€’ Supervise homeowner defense attorneys and paralegals in their work on public trustee foreclosure, judicial foreclosure, loan servicing violations, and other cases protecting homeownership β€’ Collaborate with the Director of Homeowner Defense and the Homeownership Affirmative Litigation Attorney on policy needs, case planning, and case strategy β€’ Set and complete case goals for individual attorneys and oversee homeowner defense attorney casework β€’ Review case-related documents developed by attorneys on the homeowner defense team and provide relevant feedback and guidance β€’ Create relevant training and professional development materials for lawyers working on foreclosure cases β€’ Manage a variable caseload, based on the size of the team and client need β€’ Oversee case reporting data for outcomes, case tracking, and other grant needs β€’ Coordinate across CEDP to ensure timely tracking and reporting of case completions β€’ Coordinate and assist with the preparation and presentations on homeowner and mobile homeowners rights to groups of clients, partners across the organization, and partner organizations across the state β€’ Complete required documentation for both case tracking and personnel management

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Colorado Bar Admission and JD β€’ 3+ years' experience in housing law, real estate, bankruptcy, lending, litigation or related law and litigation experience β€’ 1+ years of supervisory, mentoring, or other relevant leadership experience β€’ Ability to manage a team of Homeowner defense attorneys and a personal caseload β€’ Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice β€’ Robust research and drafting capabilities β€’ Strong desire to center client and community needs β€’ Excellent interpersonal communication skills β€’ Ability to travel within Denver Metro area and surrounding areas β€’ Strong organizational abilities β€’ Knowledge of MS Office suite, CLIO, Google Suite desired
