Description

• As the Practice Lead for Data Management and Governance, you will be an advisor to our clients to help them define the long-term data analytics management and governance strategy and oversee the roll-out of the strategy. • It is critical for you to have the client’s data enterprise situational awareness, drawing on your strong business, data, and technical understanding of system operation and data needs. • This will also involve developing data management and governance use cases through collaboration with teams across Centrilogic. • Additionally, you will develop and implement our client’s data governance policies, operating models, and Data Management projects, procedures, and standards. • This will include establishing and leading the Data Governance Council/Committee. • Be one of the key points of contact with the client, proactively manage the client relationship and expectations, and identify and implement ways to continuously improve the client experience to ultimately delight the client. • Research, understand, enforce, and monitor relevant data protection regulations, ensuring all policies comply with local, national, and international regulations. • Conduct and review the latest DG assessment and use the findings to prioritize data governance focus areas. • Assist in development and documentation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures tailored to the client’s needs. • Assist in reviewing and establishing a tailored data stewardship program, including roles and responsibilities for data stewards. • Assist in defining data quality management practices, including data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring. • Assist in developing a strategy for effective data cataloging, data lineage, and metadata management, and coach the business and technology teams to create, manage, and maintenance of a data catalog. • Assist in defining data classification for compliance with relevant data privacy regulations, policies, and standards. • Assist with people and process change management support to ensure the successful adoption and sustainability of data management and governance practices. • Assist in developing and implementing a data literacy curriculum to enhance the understanding and effective use of data across the organization. • Provide oversight on the implementation of Azure data governance technology (i.e. Azure Purview, Databricks Unity Catalogue, Colibra, or others).

Requirements

• Completed undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized educational institute in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering/System Technology, Management Information Systems, or similar programs. • 8+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in data management and governance project planning and implementation. • Proven experience in creating and delivering presentations to senior leadership. • A good understanding of: • Business case and strategy development with return on investment valuation • Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Cataloguing, Data Strategy, Data Enablement, Data Stewardship & Operating model etc. • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science • Data Architecture, and Operational Technology. • Data Analytics Tools and platforms, such as Azure, Databricks, PowerBI, MS Fabric, Collibra, Informatica, etc. • Demonstrated experience in leading data governance initiatives and managing cross-functional teams, including establishing and implementing data governance frameworks from scratch. • Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies, including selecting, implementing, and managing tools for data cataloging, data quality, and data lineage. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in training and supporting staff in data governance best practices. • Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
