• Help reinvent how people experience chess around the world • Take part in building a multi regional resilient system capable of handling millions of games each day along with tons of additional services • Solve interesting challenges like scaling 1 million CPUs across a dozen regions • Help maintain stability and performance as our existing bare-metal datacenter is blended with GCP for microservices and scaling • Directly cooperate with Google Engineers on cutting edge solutions
🎯 Requirements
• Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters • High traffic production experience with GCP or AWS clouds • Solid experience managing all resources with Terraform (we treat Infrastructure as Code) • Experience building CI/CD pipelines & GitOps approach • Good understanding of modern observability stacks i.e. Prometheus, Cortex/Mimir, EFK, Jaeger • Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team • Sense of ownership and responsibility • Lifelong learner • Nice to Have: Experience with message brokers (e.g. Kafka, PubSub, Redis) • You are interested in building a hybrid on-prem/cloud Service Mesh
