• The Director of Estimating plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing Cinterra’s estimating function under the direction of the Vice President, Business Development. • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction means and methods, understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical, permitting, and engineering requirements, and project management skills. • This position will collaborate with cross functional teams involved in project development and execution. • This is a fast-paced role in a rapidly growing industry. • This individual should have prior experience leading estimating functions and teams within the heavy industrial construction and/or renewable energy industries. • Prior EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) experience is highly preferred. • Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Provide guidance and leadership to the Estimating Team in estimating, preparing, and submitting bids in a professional and timely manner. • Review RFP documents and generate material take-offs and labor estimates. • Arrange for Procurement of long lead time material and/or subcontractors. • Attend Pre-bid meetings when required. • Read contract documents, identify risks and areas to clarify/negotiate. • Prepare and submit final proposals and bid sheets to the customer in a professional and timely manner. • Develop policies and procedures related to the bid process. • Schedule estimating staff to ensure timely bid creation. • Work with other leadership teams when contracts are awarded to develop a complete project package, including all project documentation, bid budget, schedule, subcontracts, etc... • Facilitate project hand-off for a smooth transition to Operations. • Prepare capital cost estimates. • Coordinate with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources. • Remain current with technology and industry evolution, assuring that capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions. • Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks. • Develop and mentor Estimating Team members; provide feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in business, finance, construction, or related industry • 10+ years of relevant experience, 5 of those being in leadership roles • Proven experience managing and developing teams • Working knowledge of the construction and/or renewable energy industries • Ability to read project plans and specifications • Understanding of contract language and requirements • Effective time management skills, understands how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Experience in project estimating and Gantt chart scheduling • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards • Excel at operating in a fast-paced environment, where multiple deadlines are critical • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Outlook • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
