Description
• The Medical Director, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health oversees programming in the market. • Collaborate with health plan partners and leads clinical practices related to behavioral health. • Provides comprehensive behavioral health care including assessments, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and medication management. • Develop and implement cost of care initiatives based on segmentation. • Participate in case conferences and support care team in developing care plans. • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management for members. • Create strong relationships with community and external providers.
Requirements
• MD degree required • Board certified in Psychiatry • MD, DEA licensure (or willingness to acquire) • At least 2 years of post-residency experience, with some clinical leadership experience preferred • Comfortable using technology to support members without in-person contact • Extensive experience in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma informed Care principles • Experience building and implementing new or evolving programs and processes • Ability and experience supervising APCs
