• Provide oversight for medical policy implementation. • Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical/medical programs. • Support Medical Management staff ensuring timely and consistent responses. • Focus on overseeing utilization review / quality assurance and predetermination reviews. • Provide clinical expertise and direct case management when necessary. • Act as lead business and clinical liaison to network providers and facilities.
• Active and current state medical license in FL without encumbrances. • M.D. or D.O., Board Certification in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty. • Post-graduate direct patient care experience. • Previous UM experience with a Health Plan / Payor (preferred). • Board Certification in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds Specialty (preferred).
