• Oversee high-quality medical care and establish best practices • Ensure clients receive high-quality care for pets • Coach medical teams in individual and group settings • Review and improve treatment skills of doctors • Manage veterinary board and client complaints • Mentor Medical Directors and Associates on time management and efficiency • Host local medical seminars to support and connect with Medical Directors and Associate Veterinarians

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an accredited university • Multi-Unit experience preferred • License to practice veterinary medicine in California • Minimum of 5 years’ practice experience • Ability to develop strong working relationships with Medical Directors and Associate Veterinarians • Ability to implement and promote medical programs instituted by the VCA CMO and MAB • Ability to evaluate Medical Director’s performance and set medical goals
