Description

• The Clean Energy Fund of Texas is Texas's first non-profit green bank. • On a mission to make clean energy accessible and affordable for all. • Initiatives drive energy security and economic development for underserved communities. • Supports grant implementation for the EPA’s Solar for All program. • Partner with Texas Southern University for developing residential community solar projects. • As Communications Manager, responsible for SFA program communications. • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategy to support program goals. • Create engaging digital and print materials for public audiences. • Implement multifaceted marketing and communications strategies for CEFTX brand. • Manage content for the program’s webpage and social media accounts. • Uphold organization image standards and quality control communications. • Plan and administer community outreach and develop collaborations aligned with program objectives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Communications or Marketing departments, preferences within a nonprofit or philanthropic organization • Experience creating and implementing marketing and communications strategic plans • Creative and strategic thinker with good judgment and ability to make independent decisions in a changing environment • Effective communicator across platforms; written, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal • Knowledge of best practices for writing and publishing on different platforms • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, board members, and external stakeholders • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) • Project management skills; develop work plans, organize projects, establish goals and timelines, clarify mutual expectations, evaluate results • Passion for clean energy and a commitment to advancing sustainability and environmental stewardship • Experience with desktop publishing and layout applications such as Adobe InDesign or Canva (preferred) • Experience with federal grant programs and communication strategies to explain complex regulatory requirements to the public (preferred) • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently (preferred)
