Description

• At Cloudera, we empower people to transform complex data into clear and actionable insights. • Cloudera Solutions Engineers are the technical leaders in the sales account team. • Responsible for securing the technical win in each sales opportunity and building relationships with customers. • Use strong technical skills and business acumen to design solutions and demonstrate Cloudera technology. • Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales. • Supporting the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases for Cloudera’s technology. • Partnering with Account Managers to show customers the value of a Cloudera solution.

Requirements

• A passion for using technology to make a difference to people and organisations. • A minimum of 5 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context • The ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations • Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases • Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning. • One or more of the three major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure or GCP). • Operations, Security and Data Governance within the enterprise • Unix or Linux • Experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication • Problem solving skills • A willingness to learn, a curiosity to discover and a drive to make your customers successful
