Description

• Code.org is a nonprofit expanding computer science access in K-12 schools • Seeking an Accountant to maintain financial records and ensure compliance with standards • Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and assisting with audits • Analyze financial transactions and support close processes • Reconcile bank statements and handle accounts payable cycle • Manage 1099 vendors and assist with special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong understanding of GAAP • 4 years or more of related experience required • Experience using QuickBooks Online or other accounting software • Strong attention to detail • Professional demeanor, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Be highly comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, informal, and remote work environment • A high level of computer literacy is required; proficiency in working with Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Should be an advanced user of spreadsheets (Excel and/or G-Sheets) • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident • Be located in the United States • Pass a pre-employment background check • Be willing to travel a minimum of two times per year for team events
