Description

• Hughes Walker Group, LLC is growing and believes entrepreneurship is the American way. • Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions. • Coordinate payroll outcomes with general accounting. • Perform support duties to maintain client accounting software according to regulations. • Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with staff and clients. • Full or part-time non-exempt hourly position with growth opportunity. • Assist with data entry and daily accounting transactions. • Reconcile accounts (AP/AR). • Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., balance sheets). • Support month-end and year-end close processes. • Process vendor payments and invoices. • Assist with grant reporting and tracking. • Provide clear financial reporting to management. • Train and mentor junior staff. • Support donor database management. • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, min 15-25 hours/week part-time, 30-40 hours week full-time.

Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • Proficient in Accounting software (3 years minimum experience). • 1-3 years of general accounting experience. • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. • Strong verbal, written and in-person communication skills w/ ability to communicate with internal or external teams regarding routine transactions or procedures. • Proficiency in MS Office 365 – specifically expertise in Microsoft Excel. • Highly organized and detail oriented. • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team player environment. • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality. • Must be able to work independently or with a team to drive results and performance as well as solve moderately complex accounting and reporting issues. • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.
