📋 Description

• Colossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a remote Network Delivery Engineer that will sit remote but is comfortable with frequent travel to customer sites across the US. • The Delivery Engineer will provide planning, design, configuration, deployment, and tier III network troubleshooting support to our government customers with a focus on Route/Switch. • In this role, the Delivery Engineer will ensure mission success by leveraging new and existing networking designs. • They must be hands-on and will partake in aspects of planning, design, implementation, and deployment. • They provide technical guidance to ensure the current and future success of our customer’s mission. • An ideal candidate will have CCNA R/S or ACNT or equivalent. • Develop networking designs, studies, and plans. • Provide superior customer service by being courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. • Provide senior program managers with recommendations on route/switch and networking approaches and strategies for new and continued business. • Diagnose simple network performance problems and interact with application support teams to diagnose network or application performance issues. • Design, implement, and support WLANs by performing and documenting wireless surveys. • Support new Cisco high-capacity WLAN controllers and install/configure routers, switches and AP’s over multiple locations in both CONUS and OCONUS sites. • Will perform post-implementation validation surveys in order to optimize network performance. • Develop, implement, and manage networking processes including design standards to ensure compliance, relevancy, and sustainability. • Perform capacity planning of the networking services by auditing and analyzing performance and availability of routers and switches. • Proactively research and evaluate tools and technologies, as appropriate, to the networking environment, while developing solutions to increase performance and lower the total cost of ownership. • Have a high level of understanding of many networking technologies and products. • Communicate with customers and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to customer requests. • Must have the ability to quickly identify network issues and reach back to support teams as needed to help remediate. • Schedule and attend technical sales support teleconferences and work with sales and engineering team members to craft IT solutions. • Travel to customer sites for both pre/post sales technical engagements and deployments. • Assist sales staff as needed with designing current and future technologies. • Build BOMs and configurations for Colossal sales staff and customers. • Obtain and maintain certifications for vendor partnerships. • Rack and stack equipment. • Use Visio to help create network diagrams and customer documentation. • Burn-in and test equipment as needed. • When called upon assist and lead in the engineer recruiting process to ensure technical abilities of candidate. • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10 years related networking support experience (or similar IT experience). • 5-10 years troubleshooting route/switch issues. • Experience with a wide range of network and performance management tools, security tools and appliances, layer two technologies, wireless communications, cloud computing and telecommunications services and technologies is preferred • Minimum of a CCNA and/or ACNT. CCNP or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer preferred. • Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities • Available to travel throughout the US if required. • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
