• Prepare preliminary building designs for estimates • Conduct finite element modeling/analysis and review models of other team members • Prepare steel connection calculation reports and studies • Develop design spreadsheets for public distribution • Provide guidance to outside professional engineers designing structures with ConXtech systems • Attend project meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders • Train other engineers to use the ConXtech systems • Evaluate project opportunities for technical feasibility of the ConXtech systems • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• 4 – 7 years of experience as a structural engineer (ASCE Engineer Grade IV) • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering; a master’s degree is a plus • Professional Engineer license (CA preferred) • Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AISC 341, ACI 318 • Solid understanding of construction practices for steel-framed commercial structures • Experience designing structural steel frames for commercial projects • Strong problem-solving skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to engage with external stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts • Excellent time management skills • Competency to work with minimal supervision • Proficiency in ETABS; RAM, RISA, and Revit experience is a plus • Current knowledge of industry developments and changes to codes & standards
