Then apply and be a part of something truly special at Core Scientific. • The HPC Ops Director leads a world-class team of data center managers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to consistently deliver client SLA commitments. The director creates and maintains a culture of professionalism and operational excellence and a place where people love to work and build careers. The HPC Ops Director will have a strong working knowledge of mission-critical facilities subsystems supporting the data centers and hosted customer assets. In addition, the role will be responsible for tracking operational budgets and the financial performance of the assigned region. • Frequent travel between data centers is required. This job operates in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business operations, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. • 10+ years of progressive IT management experience in a highly competitive, large corporate organization managing $1M+ budgets with solid knowledge of systems operations and 24/7 data center support. • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure elements, including electrical and mechanical subsystems, security, and life/safety systems. • Demonstrated experience with disaster recovery concepts, strategies, and implementation. • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present complex topics to a non-technical audience. • Strong execution skills. Drives flawless execution of projects as well as contributing to continuous improvements of critical projects and programs. • To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states: TX, ND, SD, OK, MN, AR, KY, TN, GA, FL, SC, and NC.
