📋 Description

• Manage the overall accounting function, including AR, AP, payroll, treasury, and the monthly/annual close and financial reporting process. • Possess a strong working knowledge of GAAP, gained through experience in public and private accounting, preferably with a VC-backed, growth-stage company. • Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), capitalized software (ASC 350), lease accounting (ASC 842), and equity compensation (ASC 718). • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls that reduce risk and enhance the efficiency of the accounting function and Crisp’s operations. • Continually improve Crisp’s accounting operations by supporting new clients, products, pricing structures, and markets as the company scales. • Partner with Product and Engineering to properly assess and account for capitalized software costs. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leaders, such as Finance (FP&A) for forecasting, Sales for invoicing accuracy, and Customer Success for revenue-related adjustments. • Liaise with external service providers, including tax advisors, lenders, attorneys, and technical accountants. • Perform consolidated financial reporting for our international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements. • Assist in managing the treasury function by overseeing bank accounts, subsidiary funding, foreign currency exposure, and vendor/employee payments. • Oversee and optimize the Accounting technology stack, ensuring it scales with our growing international SaaS business. • Support regulatory filings, tax compliance, and entity registrations/renewals across multiple jurisdictions. • Assist Corporate Development by providing financial diligence for acquisitions. • Manage post-acquisition accounting integration, including customer billing, vendor transitions, working capital management, and alignment with Crisp’s technical accounting policies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting. • CPA required. • 7+ years of relevant experience, with a mix of Big 4/public accounting and private industry experience preferred. • Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce, and financial reporting tools. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. • Ability to communicate and present financial information to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
