Description

• CSCI Consulting is looking for a Senior Developer with at least 5 years of Mainframe IDMS and COBOL experience to support a federal project. • Analyzes functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to determine the technical development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives. • Prepares system change/programming specifications, and specifies programming instructions, inputs and outputs, structures, and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements. • Prepares technical design documents and participates in critical design reviews to study and verify impacts on current systems. • Analyzes and resolves system or software failures. • Prepares and executes tests for system or subsystem software validation.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in Mainframe IDMS and COBOL • A degree of creativity and latitude is expected • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs • Strong organizational and time management skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Experience with DoD financial systems (preferred) • Familiarity of Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) and Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA) (preferred) • Experience with Endevor (preferred) • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
