β’ CSD is the largest NPO dedicated to cultivating opportunities for Deaf success. β’ Facilitate phone calls between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing individuals. β’ Current training class starts - Monday, December 2nd
β’ Excellent communication skills β’ Ability to speak clearly and pronounce and enunciate complex words and sentence structure β’ Ability to effectively verbally communicate using voice inflection, adjust tone and volume β’ Ability to read text aloud from a computer, listen to spoken words, and transcribe to text on a computer β’ Excellent grammar and spelling β’ Ability to learn and understand complex computer communication software, shortcuts, and command functions β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment β’ Ability to adapt to schedules influenced by call volume fluctuations β’ Fluent in Spanish and English β’ A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent β’ 18 years of age or older β’ Typing Speed of 45 words per minute with 90% accuracy to qualify for training β’ Ability to type at 60 words per minute with 95% accuracy to graduate training β’ Excellent customer service experience and a relaxed/calm demeanor β’ Ability to work various schedules including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays β’ Must be able to pass skill assessments administered by a local recruiter
