Description

• Prepare standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports, account reconciliations) according to US GAAP and IFRS or other regulatory requirements. • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. • Establish, maintain, and coordinate accounting and accounting control procedures. • Performs and reviews month-end closing activities. • Prepare monthly analyses and journal entries for Optimal Blue business unit. • Solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting and reporting. • Work with internal and external auditors, as needed. • Analyzes and reconciles Balance Sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Demonstrates excellent time management skills and effectively prioritizes competing responsibilities with minimal oversight; ensures deliverables are completed timely. • Document and/or update policies and procedures as needed. • Identifies efficiencies & recommends enhancements to management. • Prepares weekly & monthly ad hoc management reports. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. • Requires 1+ years of experience in accounting. • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. • Public and/or corporate accounting experience. • Previous experience in process implementation and/or improvement. • Understanding of financial reporting. • Ability to understand accounting and financial processes, methodologies, concepts and have good knowledge of GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting issues. • Ability to identify workflows and necessary controls. • Ability to work within a budget/timeline and meet internal and external deadlines. • Ability to maintain work priorities in an environment with multiple concurrent tasks and projects. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public. • Desire for professional growth.
