β’ Prepare standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports, account reconciliations) according to US GAAP and IFRS or other regulatory requirements β’ Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions β’ Establish, maintain, and coordinate accounting and accounting control procedures β’ Performs and reviews month-end closing activities β’ Prepare monthly analyses and journal entries for Optimal Blue business unit β’ Solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting and reporting β’ Work with internal and external auditors, as needed β’ Analyzes and reconciles Balance Sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies β’ Demonstrates excellent time management skills and effectively prioritizes competing responsibilities with minimal oversight; ensures deliverables are completed timely β’ Document and/or update policies and procedures as needed β’ Identifies efficiencies & recommends enhancements to management β’ Prepares weekly & monthly ad hoc management reports β’ Performs other related duties as assigned
β’ Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience β’ Requires 1+ years of experience in accounting β’ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred β’ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred β’ Public and/or corporate accounting experience preferred β’ Previous experience in process implementation and/or improvement preferred β’ Ability to understand accounting and financial processes, methodologies, concepts β’ Good knowledge of GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting issues preferred β’ Ability to identify workflows and necessary controls
