Description

• Advises and counsels key business partners on all legal aspects of the product lifecycle from conception through launch. • Advises on go-to-market strategies, maintenance and refinement of new products, and functionality across the Company’s suite of products and services. • Develops and nurtures trusted relationships with business partners and stays informed on key product developments. • Drafts terms of use, product policies, and product disclosures, implementing policies required to support legal frameworks. • Establishes and implements compliance best practices, keeping up to date on applicable laws and regulations. • Identifies potential risks, sourcing subject matter experts as needed, and developing risk mitigation tactics. • Supports the Company’s intellectual property strategy, managing the intellectual property portfolio. • Supports and advises on the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements relevant to Company products and services.

Requirements

• Juris doctor from an accredited law school. • Member of the bar in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. • Five years of legal experience, with a minimum of three years’ counseling on product matters. • Familiarity and experience with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in education technology, SaaS, and/or technology space required. • Familiarity and experience with accessibility laws, including WCAG standards.
