Description

• Manages and influences health care quality projects and initiatives • Enables Aetna to improve health care quality products, services, and processes • Works on auditing and preparing statements of compliance for NCQA Health Equity (HEA) and Utilization Management (UM) • Accountable for health care quality projects and initiatives through direction setting and leadership • Proactively develops quality activities aligned with company strategies and values • Links quality management activities to business goals • Builds strong business relationships, both internally and externally • Serves as a resource and subject matter expert (SME) • Forms and leads cross functional teams • Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures to meet business needs • Educates and consults with unit business managers on quality improvement methods

Requirements

• Project management experience • 5-7+ years clinical and/or managed care experience in the healthcare industry and quality management required • 2+ years accreditation experience (NCQA, JCAHO or URAC) • Strong communication skills with external clients, primarily regulatory and accreditation partners • One of the following is preferred: Independent clinical license or Registered Nurse (RN) Master's degree (LCSW, LISW, LSW, LPC) • 1+ years of health equity experience • 1+ years of auditing experience • 1+ year of Utilization Management experience
