Description

• Assist in establishing safety rules, regulations and standards for all distribution centers. • Evaluate and refine accident investigation procedures. • Monitor changes to governmental safety regulations at all distribution center locations and update safety strategy and procedures to ensure compliance. • Monitor safety tracking and reporting; align interventions and strategy adjustments to address negative trends in safety issues. • Audit distribution centers for operational and system integrity and their use of established best practices as they relate to new and existing programs. • Ensure all distribution center safety procedures and policies are documented and kept up-to-date. • Ensure distribution centers meet all DOT requirements and safety regulations. • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the security strategy. • Provide guidance, management, coaching and direction to team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 to 10 years of experience in safety related field. • Experience in security and asset protection preferred. • Experience in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulatory compliance including hours of service, vehicle inspections and maintenance, driver qualification, and record keeping. • Experience dealing with OSHA and similar US agencies preferred. • Project management experience with training in Lean and/or 6 Sigma is desired. • Safety certifications such as CSP, or CSHM desired. • Must meet the requirements of Dealer Tire’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy.
