Description
• Lead month-end accounts close and management accounts preparation including all balance sheet reconciliations and profit/loss analysis in close collaboration with the Finance Team. • Follow up and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations & processes within the company, ensuring strict adherence to defined policies and procedures. • Management of research grant financial reporting and R&D tax credits claims. • Business partnering with other functions in the business in order to determine month end accruals. • Support revenue accounting processes in line with IFRS 15/FRS 102 and company policies. • Lead credit control operations including monitoring customer accounts and contacting customers to collect outstanding debts. • Managing operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Liaising with external stakeholders including tax advisors and auditors in support of statutory obligations. • Lead continuous process improvement within the finance department. • Ad-hoc projects will feature strongly as the company continues to grow rapidly.
Requirements
• Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) in advanced stages of completing qualification. • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, GSheets, GDocs, etc), MS Excel, Word. • Experience using Xero ERP system is a distinct advantage. • Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to manage a significant volume of work. • Knowledge of financial reporting standards (FRS 102), procurement, and project management. • Ability and experience to make a significant contribution to the development of efficient and effective processes and procedures, and innovation regarding same. • Ability to analyze financial data and produce well-judged solutions to complex problems. • Ambitious, energetic and motivated individual essential. • Must have a proactive “can-do” attitude with a strong work ethic that drives to always achieve targets/deadlines. • Excellent attention to detail. • Adaptability & accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, adhering to tight deadlines. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Experience with Pleo expense management system is advantageous.
