• Responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client. • Daily tasks will vary requiring flexibility. • Excellent communication skills with a problem-solving attitude. • Ability to actively listen and respond in a positive, empathetic manner. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Excellent ability to organize and coordinate tasks. • Proactive attitude with a passion for customer satisfaction. • Sourcing and factory development for new and existing product categories. • Understanding of production capacities, lead-times, and shipping timeframes and ability to negotiate all of them. • Obtain quotes from different factories overseas. • Maintain current knowledge of the relevant product categories, materials and new or potential products and markets. • Ability to collect and synthesize cost-related factors including design, production; sampling; freight,; 3rd party testing; inspections, etc. • Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with factories. • Assess quotes and compiling a detailed spreadsheet of production details. • Generate quote comparisons and contributing to factory selection based on the quotes. • Ability to create tech packs. • Match product opportunities according to the capabilities of overseas factories. • Monitor all activities related to import projects to ensure adherence to final production schedules. • Coordinate with Import Director to develop methodologies that support clear and consistent guidelines for production management. • Regulatory and compliance experience and shipping knowledge. • Maintain production schedules for timely product production and delivery.

Requirements

• 2-4 years related sourcing specialist and/or product line management and development experience is a plus • Promotional product knowledge is a plus • Previous experience with overseas importing and pricing • Knowledge of Adobe Suite and Excel and ability to create spreadsheets and effectively present information to and respond to internal/external contacts and management • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) • Great communicator and listener in-person, over phone, email, and videoconference • Strong work ethic, with a good humored with a positive “can do” attitude • Values curiosity, creativity, inclusive teams, and achieving results • Problem solver that is comfortable making judgment calls how to spend time • Loves learning by providing, receiving and responding positively to constructive feedback • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills; Motivated by deadlines • Able to work additional hours when required
