Description

• Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Safety Platform team • Cultivate deep empathy with internal customers. Build relationships with cross-functional partners within Safety and across the company. Understand their needs thoroughly and develop strategies to scale our safety systems effectively throughout the organization • Define and own performance against key business metrics and proactively report progress against those goals to the relevant stakeholders • Lead cross-functional execution to deliver incremental value with 8-10 Engineers, Design, Data Science, ML, Legal, Policy, and Operations • Independently make decisions for your product area, gain buy-in from leadership, and act as a momentum catalyst for your execution team • Balance day-to-day execution with long-term product vision — you must be comfortable moving quickly to respond to the moving target of abuse on Discord

Requirements

• 3+ years product management experience or experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines • Proven track record of shipping products from design to deployment • Confidence to dive into the technical details and challenge designs or solutions with Platform Engineers and Machine Learning stakeholders • Comfort in solving complex, systems-problems • Strong communication skills and the ability to work very well cross-functionally • Previous work in spam, anti-abuse, or trust & safety domain • Previous work on platform or infrastructure teams • Passionate about building solutions for internal customers • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical experience
