Description

• Lead engineers with technical expertise and a high level of emotional intelligence • Guide a team of engineers on large-scale products and services while working closely with stakeholders • Direct a team and lead day-to-day work, development of direct reports, and be responsible for software architecture, quality, scalability, and delivery of work • Oversee system designs for payment processing and broader infrastructure • Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the team • Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals • Meet regularly with direct reports to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching • Review code developed by engineers focusing on best practices in payment systems and security compliance • Passion for technology, particularly in payments and financial systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience • 2+ years of engineering team management or team lead experience • 6+ years of working directly within payments engineering teams • 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience partnering with product or program management teams • Strong software development skills in JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, CSS, HTML, and languages like Java, PHP, Python, or similar • Strong understanding of cloud environments and tool chains • Strong written and oral communication skills • Desire to work in a diverse team • Knowledge and operational experience developing and scaling event driven services • Understanding of full-stack software development • Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies
