Description

• Drata is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. • This role will help lead the development of Drata’s platform systems, enabling other engineering teams. • Partner with other software engineers, cloud engineers and SREs to architect, design and develop complex applications. • Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of applications in production. • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code. • Deliver code in an agile team environment. • Lead research on new or alternative technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • 2+ years of experience with NodeJS • 1+ years experience in NestJS preferred • Strong skills needed in: Javascript, ES6, NodeJS, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and REST principles • Knowledge in Jest and Redis • Proficiency in object-oriented programming • Good understanding of algorithms, network protocols, and web services • Experience with one of the major cloud hosting systems: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure • Experience with Docker • Experience developing real-world web applications • Self-directed, independent, and has experience owning complete features/products • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing technologies and requirements • Strong communication skills, ability to discuss trade-offs • Agile development experience • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Previous startup or scaling experience is a plus • Nice to have: Terraform, ElasticSearch, Python, Jenkins, Github Actions
