Description

• Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will lead the accounting operations of the organization. • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable. • Ensure that general ledger and subsidiaries ledgers are accurately and properly reconciled. • Review and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company objectives. • Support month-end and year-end close process and update the monthly ME checklist. • Build strong relationships with internal global stakeholders. • Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies are followed. • Oversee the implementation and refinement of accounting systems and tools. • Act as a key resource in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards. • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports. • Function as a liaison with external auditors to ensure timely issuance of year-end financial statements. • Coach, mentor and develop staff, providing career development planning and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. • 10+ years of experience in accounting. • 5+ years experience in leading an accounting team and function. • Public Accounting experience a plus. • Experience working for a manufacturer/CPG. • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. • Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills. • Ability to manage a fast paced accounting department. • Netsuite experience is preferred.
