We are a global leader, with hubs in North America, South America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. • The Director, Data Governance, Enterprise Data and Analytics will design, and rollout governed, certified, and trusted metrics and definitions in support of implementing these rules within business applications, business processes, and a new, global, data and analytics solution, “Edna”. • This position sits within the “Expand” (Extreme Process Analytics and Data Governance) team, within the Analytics & Data Governance pillar, and is responsible for developing the data governance function within Extreme, both in defining the approach and definitions, as well as building the relevant team to deliver on outcomes.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment. • 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles. • Experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA framework, DMBOK). • Proven leadership experience, ideally as a senior leader within an analytics or data management function. • Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement data policies and standards. • Deep understanding of best data governance practices, including data stewardship, data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle management. • Experience with data management tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Alation) for governance and metadata management. • Proven experience in change management, leading organizations through data governance transformations. • Can be highly flexible in adapting to the team and organization's needs. • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure) & high-level understanding of typical data architecture, data warehousing, and data integration techniques. • Comfort working within an agile team, leveraging DevOps concepts and agile-enablement tools including Jira, Confluence, and Github. • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and business stakeholders, with demonstrated written and verbal presentation skills to present compelling recommendations. • Knowledge of SQL to work with data teams when necessary is a plus.
