If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and take on our audacious mission, we would love to hear from you. • As a Data Analyst - Medical Economics, you will be a critical part of our data and analytics team, helping us analyze healthcare data to uncover trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide actionable insights to enhance financial performance and decision-making. You will leverage your technical and analytical skills to support key initiatives across Firefly Health, contributing to the growth and optimization of our innovative healthcare model. • Extract, analyze, and summarize large healthcare datasets to identify medical cost trends, utilization patterns, and evaluate program outcomes. • Develop actuarial and financial models to forecast financial performance and identify opportunities for cost improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, finance, network, and engineering teams to provide data-driven recommendations and insights. • Produce actionable insights by analyzing the impact of Firefly Health initiatives on medical costs and utilization. • Produce and present detailed reports and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related field. • You have 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or actuarial services within health insurance, care delivery, or a related consulting business. • Familiarity with medical billing, adjudication and revenue cycle. • Proficiency in risk adjustment. • You are skilled in SQL • You have a solid understanding of healthcare financial terms, value based care, and medical cost drivers. • You are an excellent communicator, capable of presenting complex data analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • You’re comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and working independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. • Experience working directly with Actuaries and Clinicians. • You have experience working with a value based care organization. • You’re skilled in predictive analytics and financial modeling. • Experience in BI tools such as Looker. • Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake as well as experience with dbt.
