• Provides Tier 1 support for IBM Z-Series, IBM I-Series, FTP platforms, and Storage platforms in a 24x7 enterprise environment. • Monitors IBM I-Series and Z-Series production environments and responds to system messages; and system availability along with IPL Mainframes. • Processes batch cycles and executes batch restarts in accordance with established procedures. • Monitors and ensures client data file transmissions route successfully in FTP, NDM and Sterling File Gateway platforms. • Provides information in a clear, concise and quick manner to on-call support. • Creates in-depth documentation of processes to support work efforts. • Analyzes events, triages and escalates using established best practices. • Provides and receives cross training from immediate support team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an IT Operations position working with Mainframe Consoles and File Transmissions • 2+ years of experience working with TSO, ISFP, CAVIEW, SYSVIEW and IOF • High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in applicable field • Experience with batch job CA7 and Control M schedulers • Experience in batch job processing, batch abend troubleshooting and batch job restart processes. • Experience with JCL • ITIL Service Management Tools such as: Remedy9 / Service Now, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Service Level Management/SLAs)
