Description

• Job Title: Sourcing Engineer • Job Description: • The Sourcing Engineer is pivotal in implementing Purchase Price Variance (PPV) projects originating from Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives. • The role involves risk mitigation, supporting part qualification processes, and providing technical expertise. • This position is also responsible for identifying secondary sources for critical components and leading continuous improvement efforts. • Proficiency in VA/VE and lean problem-solving techniques is key. • Responsibilities: • Drive the implementation of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) projects stemming from Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives. • Support the Fortive Part Qualification Process (FPQP) for new or modified parts, as well as for alternative suppliers. • Provide crucial engineering support for PPV projects. • Manage the process of identifying, qualifying, and securing secondary sources for critical components. • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. • Evaluate, manage, and mitigate potential risks associated with End-of-Life (EOL) items.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Strong understanding of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE). • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with lean problem-solving techniques. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proven working experience as a sourcing engineer or similar role. • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
