β€’ Spotter is seeking an experienced and strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. β€’ In this remote position, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of trucks and related equipment, ensuring that our purchasing strategies align with the company's operational goals and budgetary constraints. β€’ Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies for acquiring trucks and related equipment. β€’ Analyze market trends to identify cost-effective solutions that meet the company’s needs. β€’ Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with truck manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers. β€’ Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable supply chains. β€’ Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about new truck models, technologies, and pricing trends. β€’ Evaluate the competitive landscape to inform purchasing decisions. β€’ Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels of trucks and related equipment to ensure that procurement aligns with operational demands. β€’ Develop and maintain an efficient inventory management system. β€’ Cost Analysis: Analyze total cost of ownership, including maintenance, fuel efficiency, and resale value, to make informed purchasing decisions. β€’ Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to truck procurement. β€’ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, finance, and logistics, to ensure that purchasing decisions support overall business objectives. β€’ Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout the purchasing process. β€’ Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.

Requirements

β€’ Experience: Proven experience in truck purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry. β€’ Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and building positive supplier relationships. β€’ Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions, evaluate suppliers, and analyze costs. Proficient in financial modeling and reporting. β€’ Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. β€’ Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple purchasing projects simultaneously. β€’ Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
