Description

• Design, develop, and maintain software tools and systems for VFX production pipelines. • Architect robust and scalable solutions following modern software engineering practices. • Implement and advocate for design patterns and SOLID principles. • Champion best coding practices, including TDD and peer reviews. • Collaborate and mentor junior developers to gather requirements and provide guidance. • Assist in project planning and management to meet deadlines and quality standards. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for better collaboration and continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, preferably in a VFX or animation studio environment. • Proven experience with Python and C++ development. • Strong understanding of modern software design patterns, architecture principles, and SOLID principles. • Expertise in Clean Architecture, CQRS, and other architectural styles. • Proficiency in TDD and other testing methodologies. • Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Docker, and Rez package management. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. • Adaptable, proactive, and capable of mentoring junior staff.
