• Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research. • A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner’s Research and Advisory business. • They are a trusted source of advice for clients, adept at engaging them. • This role is part of Gartner’s Software Engineering practice, a global team. • Conduct research and analysis in assigned areas of expertise. • Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged research content. • Develop new research ideas through thought leadership and collaboration. • Research, analyze and predict market trends to keep clients informed. • Provide actionable advice via virtual and in-person interactions. • Create and deliver high-value presentations at Gartner events. • Proactively support the sales organization in their efforts. • Bring independent insights that shape future research agenda and planning. • Participate in innovation, ideation, and peer discussions within the research community. • Identify process improvements or develop new processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred. • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience. • Proven expertise in high-level software engineering concepts. • Substantive experience creating and executing an effective AI strategy. • Experience leading large software engineering teams and/or delivering high-impact software initiatives would be a plus. • Strong project management skills. • Demonstrated excellence in research and writing ability. • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data. • Experienced and comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements. • Expansive knowledge of the global and competitive landscape. • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams. • High learning agility. • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology effectively.
