📋 Description

• Own design of mechanical support structure and/or civil engineering systems for Direct Air Capture • Create initial design concepts to solve for multi-variable challenges inherent in Direct Air Capture: product cost, energetics, serviceability, and life • Interpret product requirements to understand customer needs and incorporate solutions into product design • Iterate on design options quickly to find the best solution • Design for manufacturability, assembly, installation, and service • Analyze and refine the selected design option, collaborating with other team members to create a cohesive and unified product design • Validate designs through engineering analysis and real-world scale testing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical, civil, or equivalent • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in power generation, heavy industrial, chemical process, or similar industry • Knowledge of structural steel system design (piping support structures, metal building, enclosures and modules) • Prior experience with New Product Introduction for Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Accessories, or similar process equipment (piping and valve support structure, instrumentation, enclosures, etc.) • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and assembly procedures; especially in collaboration with external global vendors • Desire to work in a highly dynamic environment with constantly changing requirements • Desire to continue learning and self-directed skill development.
